Dahlgren sets blistering pace at Falkenberg

Volvo man Robert Dahlgren was on his own during the morning session of the Swedish Touring Car Championship test day at Falkenberg. Dahlgren’s best time was 45.218, seven tenths faster than his closest competitor. Reigning champion Richard Göransson, BMW, was second fastest ahead of returnee Pontus Mörth, Chevrolet.

The session started with a wet track, but about an hour in to the session the track had dried up and all cars were on slicks.

Robin Rudholm, who has got the most penalty weight of all, was fourth fastest ahead of Thed Björk, who is driving his new BMW 320si after the crash at Knutstorp.

Privateer Audi driver Andreas Simonssen showed strong form in sixth ahead of last race winner Jan “Flash” Nilsson.

Johan Stureson was eight fastest ahead of Tommy Rustad and Mattias Andersson.
