Volvo one-two at Falkenberg test

There seem to be no stopping Volvo at Falkenberg. The afternoon session saw Robert Dahlgren once again on top, three tenths ahead of his team mate Tommy Rustad. Best non Volvo driver was reigning champion Richard Göransson in third, three hundredths of a second behind Rustad.

Fourth fastest was Flash Engineering driver Thed Björk in his new car after the crash at Knutstorp.

Fredrik Ekblom was three hundredths of a second behind Björk in the Volkswagen Scirocco that seemingly is working better and better with the lowered base weight.

Pontus Mörth, who was second in the morning session, was sixth fastest ahead of Mattias Andersson.

The Kristoffersson Motorsport prepared privateer Audi A4’s are working well at Falkenberg. Johan Kristoffersson was eight fastest ahead of previous double winner Robin Rudholm.

Kristoffersson’s team mate Andreas Simonsen rounded off top ten.

The Falkenberg track produces close times as usual, eight to 12th position was covered within 0.096 seconds.

Racing for STCC at Falkenberg resumes on saturday with free practice.
