Fredrik Ekblom pleased after strong test

Fredrik Ekblom was fifth fastest in the Swedish Touring Car Championship test at Falkenberg yesterday. The previous triple STCC champion hopes to keep the pace for the qualifying and races on saturday.
“It is all about keeping the foot down and sticking on to the top of the field in the qualifying and race tomorrow,” said Ekblom.

The bio gas powered Volkswagen Scirocco that Ekblom drives got the base weight lowered with ten kilos, to 1170 kilos, ahead of this weekend.

“This track suits us as well and it was especially good to get the extra test time yesterday,” said Ekblom.

The two Team Biogas.se cars completed many laps around the short and fast Falkenberg track yesterday.

“We had a lot to do since we have not tested here before. I managed to put some fast laps with new tyres at the end. It is nice that we are in the top, but we have a bit more to work on to be on top in the races as well,” said Ekblom.
