Harry Vaulkhard in team split

Harry Valkhard is going to do the rest of the British Touring Car Championship season for a new team called Bamboo Engineering.
“We had some major fundamental differences over the engineering, operational and financial structure of the team with the owner of Tempus Sport, Julian Tanser. We therefore decided to breakaway completely and form bamboo engineering,” said team boss Richard Coleman to BTCC.net.

The majority of the staff in the newly formed team is from the old team, Tempus Sport.

Vaulkhard is going to continue driving his Chevrolet Lacetti, the very car that has been repaired after the crash at Croft.

“I’m really happy that this now gives the team more long-term stability within all areas. Everyone who has worked on my car this season is moving over to bamboo which I’m very pleased about as it will maintain the continuity with the progress that we have made this year,” said Vaulkhard.

Vaulkhard is currently 12th in the championship and the Briti is hoping for better results from the remainder of the season.

“We’ve proved we have the speed but haven’t had the luck sometimes this year but I’m sure we’ll get some podium finishes before the end of the season.”
