Updated Scirocco ready for Gelleråsen

The Volkswagen team Biogas.se has been busy during the summer break of the Swedish Touring Car Championship. The weight balance has been changed and the rear suspension has been improved, becoming more adjustable.
“The cars have been updated, weigh 80 kilos less compared to last time we were at Gelleråsen. We should be able to perform better,” said driver Fredrik Ekblom.

Neither of the Volkswagen drivers managed to get within the points last time at Gelleråsen.

STCC newcomer Patrik Olsson hopes to improve significantly this time around.

“I have developed as driver during the first part of my STCC season. Last time we were here I was one second from pole position, I am going to be quicker this time,” said Olsson.

The team has performed a number of tests at Gelleråsen during the summer, something team boss Tobias Johansson is confident will show this weekend.

“We have tested a couple of times here and also done aerodynamic tests. The work during the summer should show in our laptimes,” said Johansson.
