Dahlgren on his own at Gelleråsen
Robert Dahlgren was on his own at the first Swedish Touring Car Championship test at Gelleråsen after the summer break. The Volvo driver was over half a second faster than his closest rival. Second and third fastest were BMW rivals Richard Göransson and Jan “Flash” Nilsson.
Robin Rudholm, who won both races at Gelleråsen earlier this year, was fourth fastest ahead of Tommy Rustad.
Fredrik Ekblom claimed fifth position before he planted his Volkswagen Scirocco in the tyre wall. With only a couple of minutes left, a wheel came loose which sent him off the track.
The team is currently working frantically to get the Scirocco ready for the qualifying.
Championship leader Thed Björk was seventh fastest and the last man to get within one second from the fastest time of Dahlgren.
Mattias Andersson was eight but had to pit with technical problems with about half of the session left. Johan Stureson was ninth ahead of Pontus Mörth.
