Jason Plato hails Chevrolet Lacetti

Jason Plato hails his Chevrolet Lacetti as the best racing car he has ever driven after his pole and win at Knockhill last weekend.
“This is the best racing car I have ever raced,” said Plato to crash.net.

Plato joined the British Touring Car Championship 2009 with a last minute deal but has since then scored 157 points and is third in the championship.

“I really understand the car now and what makes it tick. No exaggeration at all, this car now, I am at a stage with it where I am completely at one with it. It’s a bit like putting on a glove.

You can only drive a race like that with a brilliant car and arguably, this is the best racing car I have ever raced.”

But the car has not been perfect all the way through as he was unable to take a single lap in the second race at Knockhill due to engine misfire.

Despite that Plato is more than pleased with the progress so far.

“It’s been a bit of a frustrating day for us with the second race but I had a fantastic car. We’ve come a long way since the start and with only one test mid season,” said Plato.
