Richard Göransson tops penalty weight list

Reigning champion Richard Göransson is topping the weight list for the Norwegian round of the Swedish Touring Car Championship at Våler. Because he scored 12 points and is second in the championship, his car is going to weigh 1220 kilos.

His team mate Robin Rudholm is right behind him in the list with 1210 kilos. Rudholm scored just as Göransson 12 points at Gelleråsen.

Championship leader Thed Björk is down to 1205 kilos and is third heaviest, a weight he has been down to only once before this season.

Previous race winner Jan “Flash” Nilsson makes it four BMW’s in the top of the weight list, he is going to weigh 1190 kilos.

Mattias Andersson had a strong weekend at Gelleråsen and is the heaviest front wheel driven car with 1185 kilos, just ahead of race two winner at Gelleråsen: Robert Dahlgren.

While Dahlgren has moved up the weight list, his team mate and previous second placed man in the championship, Tommy Rustad, has moved down. The Norwegian had a disastrous weekend at Gelleråsen with zero points after problems with the electronics.

Rustad is going to weigh in at 1154 kilos, a full 66 kilograms lighter compared to Göransson. The Norwegian is going to be dangerous at his home track this weekend!
