Göransson is fastest and goes off track

Reigning champion Richard Göransson was fastest in the rainy practice session at Våler. But he ended the session in the gravel trap after the chicane. Fortunately the WestCoast Racing driver was towed safely out of the gravel and could return to the pits with an unharmed car.

Second fastest was Volvo man Robert Dahlgren, two tenths behind Göransson.

Göransson’s team mate Robin Rudholm was third fastest ahead of rival BMW driver Thed Björk in fourth.

Team Biogas.se driver Fredrik Ekblom showed strong form in the rain and was fifth fastest ahead of Johan Stureson and Pontus Mörth.

Home driver Tommy Rustad was only eight ahead of Patrik Olsson and Roger Eriksson.

The weather is going to play a big role today as the weather forecast promises sun and clear skies for the rest of the day. A drying track is especially tricky for the drivers and teams.
