Video – Intense onboard action from Våler
One can clearly tell that the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2009 is nearing the end! During the race at Våler in Norway the action was unusually intense throughout the entire field. BMW team Flash Engineering has captured the action from their two cars.
The video captures, among other things, the debated incident between Richard Göransson and Robert Dahlgren. Thed Björk was right behind the two when they collided.
Also showing in the video is the incident between Tomas Engström and Mattias Andersson. Engström blamed Björk, who captured the incident from his rear camera, for the incident after the race.
“Björk is creating the situation by just going straight out on the track. It was weak by the race director not to penalize Björk. He should be suspended after what he did,” a very angry Engström said to Dalademokraten.
Another debated incident, shown in the video, was the one where Göransson sustained a puncture and retired after contact with Björk.
“I was fighting for fifth with Björk when he all of a sudden drove in to me in the middle of the straight and I got a puncture, plus that the suspension broke,” said Göransson on his website.
