Robert Dahlgren hunts the pole record

Robert Dahlgren is hunting the all time Swedish Touring Car Championship pole position record. Jan “Flash” Nilsson is holding the record currently with 22 pole positions, Dahlgren is just one behind.
“I am going to equal the record this weekend,” said Dahlgren to STCC.se.

Dahlgren has got an impressive run this year with six pole positions out of seven possible, so far.

There are many drivers hunting the records of “Flash”. The Flash Engineering driver has got both the most number of victories, 32, and pole positions.

Richard Göransson said earlier this season that he was going to beat the victory record, but “Flash” responded and has taken two victories this year. “Flash” ambition is to stop Dahlgren as well.

“He has to continue driving next year as well if he is going to beat my record,” said “Flash”.

“Flash” extended his victory record at Knutstorp earlier this year and is aiming to take both a pole and a win this weekend.

“I am in a flow right now and I predict that I will take pole ahead of Dahlgren and Göransson,” said “Flash”.

But Dahlgren is not intimidated by the words of “Flash”.

“I know what I am capable of, “Flash” is welcome to try and defend his record. But if I was him, I would be worried,” said Dahlgren.
