Björk and Göransson tops final weight list

BMW men Thed Björk, Flash Engineering, and Richard Göransson, WestCoast Racing, are heading the penalty weight list for the final Swedish Touring Car Championship race of the year. Björk’s title challenger Tommy Rustad is going to be 46 kilos lighter compared to Björk.

Patrik Olsson of the Biogas.se team is third heaviest for the race at Mantorp after his second place at Knutstorp.

The two other BMW drivers Jan “Flash” Nilsson and Robin Rudholm are going to weigh 1190 and 1180 kilos respectively.

Previous race winner Johan Stureson is seventh heaviest for the race at Mantorp despite taking the most recent victory. The technical bureau of STCC has given the Peugeot 308 of Stureson a weight reduction of 40 kilos.

Robert Dahlgren, who got penalized with the toughest penalty in the history of STCC for the incident at Knutstorp, is free from penalty weight and is lightest of the works cars by far.

The Volvo is going to weigh 1144 at Mantorp, a full 71 kilos lighter compared to Björk and Göransson. This makes Dahlgren favorite for the pole at Mantorp, but not to forget is the grid penalty of 10 places that Dahlgren is facing after his incident with Björk.
