RML still looking to run third car

Despite confirming earlier today James Nash will not be returning at Brands Hatch, RML have indicated they want to run three cars at the last race of the season. Posting on the RML official twitter feed, the statement reads:
“BTCC finale at Brands Hatch Oct 4th, we need to find a driver for the 3rd car, James Nash has done a good job, but budget limited for 2009!”

With the next WTCC race five weeks away, it’s certainly possible the team could run one of it’s works drivers from it’s WTCC squad.

But that’s unlikely given the team’s driver strategy this season, coupled with Plato’s championship challenge having been dented in the last race at Rockingham.

It’s more likely the team’s hoping to run a driver with funding in the third Lacetti.
