Robert Dahlgren quickest in practice

Volvo driver Robert Dahlgren topped the final practice session ahead of the Swedish Touring Car Championship finale at Mantorp Park. The Volvo man lapped the track in 1:21.320, four tenths faster than BMW man Robin Rudholm.

Dahlgren’s team mate Tommy Rustad, who is Thed Björk’s main title rival, was third fastest ahead of Mattias Andersson.

Pontus Mörth was fifth fastest ahead of the two Flash Engineering drivers Jan “Flash” Nilsson and championship leader Thed Björk.

Reigning champion Richard Göransson was eight fastest, almost a full second behind Dahlgren.

Johan Kristoffersson was impressing the field with ninth fastest time in his privateer Audi A4. Fredrik Ekblom rounded off top ten.

The conditions at Mantorp are quite cool and windy, something that is expected to change for the qualifying and races.
