Vauxhall gets 10 points taken away

The Vauxhall team has got 10 points from the team championship taken away. The reason for it is the engine change of Matt Neal during the morning practice session.

Neal had set the fastest time of the session when his engine blew, a time that remained fastest.

By changing Neal’s engine, the Vauxhall team has gone over its engine allocation. The 10 point reduction applies for both the team and constructor standings.

The Vauxhall team can be beaten in the team championship. Team RAC is 48 points behind with a total of 81 points left to be fought for this weekend.
