New BMW team joins BTCC 2010
The British Touring Car Championship is going to get a new BMW team next season. Forster Motorsport is joining the series with drivers Martin Depper and Arthur Forster.
“The BTCC is the pinnacle of UK motorsport. Both Arthur and I fully appreciate this first season will be a steep learning curve that will put us both to the test, but we are look forward to competing in the BTCC in 2010,” said Depper.
The pair is going to drive BMW 320si of which funding is secured for one car, while the team is currently working on the budget for the second one.
Forster Motorsport has mainly run cars in the British Mini Challenge and both drivers of the team have been champions in that series.
The team has announced that they are going to start winter testing shortly ahead of the 2010 season.
