Robin Rudholm in a Chevrolet Cruze?

The Swedish Chevrolet team has indicated that they would like to see WestCoast Racing driver Robin Rudholm in their team next year.
“Rudholm is a very good driver and he would fit in very nicely with Chevrolet,” said team boss Nicklas Karlsson to the official championship site.

The team also states that the merger with the Danish Touring Car Championship is helping them.

“There are a lot of things going on that makes our situation interesting right now. The merger opens up for a broader market and new possibilities for us,” said Karlsson.

The ambition for the team is to run two cars in 2010 and the plans might include the new Cruze-model.

“There are many different parameters coming in to play, but we are hopeful. If you look at the other two car teams in the STCC, they clearly show the advantage of having two cars.

We are working on it and we hope to have something finalized before the end of the year,” said Karlsson.

Rudholm’s contract with WestCoast Racing ends on the 31st of december this year. According to our information, the contract will not be renewed and WestCoast Racing will only run one car for Richard Göransson in STCC 2010.
