Race in Stockholm looks set for 2011

The Swedish Touring Car Championship is very close to sign a deal for a race in Stockholm according to information to TouringCarTimes.com. The race is supposed to happen in 2011 on a location already prepared for a large number of spectators.

The STCC has planned for a race in the Swedish capital Stockholm for a good while, but has been unable to close a deal until now.

Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden, hosted its first STCC race in 2008 which immediately became a success with close to 40.000 spectators.

The location of the race in Stockholm is as of yet unknown but is according to our information supposed to be located less than 10 minutes travel from the center of the city.

As the race is planned to debut in 2011, it is going to be a part of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship which is planned to be formed from a merger of STCC and the Danish Touring Car Championship in 2011.
