Bridgman and Collins test for Motorbase

Tim Bridgman and Ben Collins tested for the British Touring Car Championship team Motorbase at Brands Hatch today.
“I’ve been very impressed with both of them. It was a shame it was so cold as neither really got a fair crack of the whip, but ultimately it’s been another good day with two very professional drivers,” said team boss Daid Bartrum to BTCC.net.

The conditions at the track did not make things easy for the team, with temperatures almost dropping below zero.

“We actually had cameras in the car to study how they were driving it and there’s some real ability there.

When a driver comes back and starts telling you what the differential is doing mid-corner – and he’s right – then you know you’ve got class in your car. If you had these two as a pairing you would not be unhappy,” said Bartrum.

There is still no decision on drivers for the coming season and the team has tested several drivers.

“We’re in no immediate rush to announce our 2010 line-up. What we’re doing at the moment is simply being pro-active – we feel it’s important to try drivers as we can get to know one another and it also gives them something with which to go back to sponsors,” said Bartrum.
