Ekström and Brovallen to enter STCC?

Information to TouringCarTimes.com indicates that Mattias Ekström and Brovallen Motorsport are about to launch a STCC-program.
“I cannot say that much today. But STCC is a very strong championship and it is close to my heart,” said Ekström to TouringCarTimes.com.

Brovallen Motorsport lost the contract to run the Biogas.se Volkswagen Scirocco’s to Kristoffersson Motorsport ahead of this season.

Recently the team leaked a picture, visible below, from their workshop where a couple of Red Bull-sponsored Audi’s were visible behind curtains.

While Ekström does not confirm it, it is likely that Brovallen Motorsport is going to at minimum run the JTCC-cars, as pictured above, of Ekström.

“I am going to continue with the JTCC-program, that is 100% certain and I am not going to do it with the previous team constellation,” said Ekström.

The rumors say that Ekström and Brovallen are intending to run a pair of petrol powered S2000 SEAT Léon’s. Roger Eriksson and Rickard Rydell have been mentioned as potential drivers.
