Eriksson and Sahlén in new Ekström SEAT-team

Roger Eriksson and Dick Sahlén have been confirmed to drive for Mattias Ekström Junior Team in the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2010.
“This is a big and genuine program with material to win,” said Mattias Ekström to STCC.se.

Eriksson and Sahlén going to drive a pair of petrol powered SEAT Léon’s in the championship this year. Sahlén is going to drive an all-new Léon, just brought to Sweden from SEAT Sport in Spain.

“It feels very good to get the chance in this team. I believe in the crew and I believe in the car. I am going to have focus on each race, winning at least one and take a place in the top of championship,” said Sahlén.

Eriksson is going to continue driving the same SEAT he used last year in the STCC, but the car has been upgraded to the latest specifications.

“I am going to pull my self together this year. I know that I have competitive stuff and I can win if everything comes together. I wasn’t competitive on the qualifying simulations last year, but this year I am aiming to qualify better, be in the top five and for sure win a race,” said Eriksson.

Tobias Johansson and Brovallen Motorsport are working together with Ekström in this project. Brovallen Motorsport fielded the two Volkswagen Scirocco’s for Biogas.se last year but lost the contract to Kristoffersson Motorsport.

“There is no talk of revenge, we have closed that chapter. We are starting with a blank piece of paper and this year we have a big and exciting program with all conditions to make it,” said Johansson.
