Hamilton criticized by drivers
David Pinkey’s Vauxhall Vectra was caught up in in incident with Hamilton on the opening lap, which took himself and Chevrolet driver Alex MacDowell out of the race.
Pinkney was quick to storm straight out of the retired Vauxhall, and down to speak to series director Alan Gow after the incident.
Team manager Andrew Dean said:
“You never want to come away from a weekend with a lot of damage to repair, but especially not when there is only a week between races. There is always a risk that you can get caught up in an accident, but with such a short turnaround between Rockingham and Brands Hatch, you’d hope people would drive with their heads.”
James Nash was taken out of his first race of 2010, speaking to TouringCarTimes, James explained:
“Neate and Hamilton decided to race into the second corner in turn two, and they raced into the side of my car, so that was the end of that race.”
Matt’s explanation places the blame solely on Neate
“Andy Neate in the team WSR BMW went off circuit, he then tried to get back on track, and drove straight into me.”
