Chilton tops first free practice at Brands

The LPG powered Ford Focus of Tom Chilton topped the first free practice session at Brands Hatch. Chilton lapped the GP circuit in 1:32.361, more than half a second faster than the NGT powered Vauhxall Vectra of Andrew Jordan.

And the Vauxhall Vectra’s seemed to fit right in during the first practice session as James Nash, Triple Eight, claimed third and David Pinkney, Pinkney Motorsport, claimed fourth.

Matt Neal of the Honda works team was fifth fastest, right ahead of his team mate Gordon Shedden.

Robert Collard of West Surrey Racing headed rival BMW driver Mat Jackson of Airwaves BMW in seventh.
