Mattias Andersson takes first ever STCC-victory

Mattias Andersson was able to keep the lead from start to finish after starting on pole position thanks to the reversed grid from race one.
“It feels amazing. We have fought so long for this. We were perhaps not fastest today, but we won,” said Andersson at the post race press conference.

Andersson was pushing hard to fend off a trio of hungry drivers right behind him. Robert Dahlgren secured second place and strengthened his championship lead.

“I drove for the championship today and I had to fend off two hungry drivers behind me,” said Dahlgren.

Richard Göransson crossed the line third, with Thed Björk, starting tenth, in fourth.

Fredrik Ekblom secured fifth ahead of Johan Stureson and Patrik Olsson. Dick Sahlén, who had a clash with Jan “Flash” Nilsson on the opening lap, finished eight.
