Göransson pleased with strong weekend

Richard Göransson had a strong Swedish Touring Car Championship weekend at Knutstorp. The WestCoast Racing driver took most points of all and gained on championship leader Robert Dahlgren.
“I am super pleased. The goal was to be in top two after the first two weekends and that is where we are,” said Göransson.

Göransson won the first race and finished third in the second, staying behind Dahlgren for the entire race.

“It was perhaps not the most fun race to drive, but it was smart and as the team said over the radio, this is going to be fun at the Mantorp finale,” said Göransson.

Team boss Dick Jönsson-Wigroth was equally pleased over the weekend at Knutstorp.

“This is wonderful. Today we really did everything we didn’t do in Denmark, we were smart, effective and talked and coached each other,” said Jönsson-Wigroth.
