Winterbottom gets first win of 2010

Mark Winterbottom has bounced back, winning the 13th race of the V8 Supercars season, after a string of bad results since returning from the flyaways.

Starting from pole, Winterbottom took a confident victory ahead of TeamVodafone’s Jamie Whincup, who shared the front row with him.

Series leader James Courtney had qualified third, but dropped to fifth in the final reckoning, with Stone Brothers Racing’s Shane Van Gisbergen taking the final step on the podium.

Courtney still maintains his championship lead, but Whincup’s second place brings that gap down to 87 points.
