Göransson is aiming for solid points

Richard Göransson is on the hunt for the lead of the Swedish Touring Car Championship, 10 points behind leading Robert Dahlgren. The BMW-driver is aiming to score solid points at Falkenberg this weekend.
“The mission is to continue score points. That has been our strength this year, we have bagged it each weekend and been effective and that is why we are in the top,” said Göransson to the official championship site.

The race at Falkenberg is the home race of Göransson’s team WestCoast Racing and Göransson has good memories from last year when he scored one win and a third place.

“I am ready for the big home race of the team. We have a lot of guests and fans on site and we are going to give them a strong points weekend,” said Göransson.

But Göransson is wary of the drivers around him that are urging to get a lot of points after a tough season start.

“Many drivers are going to be desperate and I am expecting two very hard races. But if the warm weather stays, that should be good for us in the race,” said Göransson.
