Robert Dahlgren continues on top at Falkenberg

Robert Dahlgren continues to dominate the Swedish Touring Car Championship weekend at Falkenberg. The Volvo-driver lapped the track in 45.335 during the morning test, close to half a second faster than closest rival Thed Björk.

Richard Göransson was third fastest, just one hundredth of a second behind his BMW-rival Björk.

Dick Sahlén showed strong form in the very hot conditions at Falkenberg. The temperatures reached 25 degrees as early as 09.00 when the morning test session began.

Reigning champion Tommy Rustad was not able to match the pace of his team mate but was over half a second behind.

Fredrik Ekblom showed promising form in the new S2000 specification Volkswagen Scirocco, setting the sixth fastest time ahead of the SEAT Léon of Roger Eriksson.

Mattias Andersson was eight fastest ahead of top privateer Andreas Ebbesson in ninth. Jan “Flash” Nilsson rounded off top ten.
