Andersson blitzes Mantorp to pole position

There was no stopping Mattias Andersson in the qualifying for the Swedish Touring Car Championship finale at Mantorp Park. The Alfa Romeo-driver was fastest in Q1 and fastest in Q2, two tenths ahead of his closest rival: Thed Björk.

All three title rivals are starting close to each other, lining up in the championship order. Robert Dahlgren is going to start third, Richard Göransson fourth and Fredrik Ekblom fifth. A mere 0.126 seconds separated the three.

The team mates to Ekblom and Dahlgren are starting behind the title contenders. Volkswagen-driver Patrik Olsson claimed sixth and Volvo-driver Tommy Rustad seventh.

Roger Eriksson is going to start eighth, but failed to make it to the second qualifying session due to technical difficulties.

The first race of the day starts at 13.30 CET.
