Kane and Jackson going for victory at Brands

Airwaves BMW-drivers Steven Kane and Mat Jackson have got high hopes for the British Touring Car Championship finale at Brands Hatch this weekend.
“We can win at Brands Hatch and that’s what I’ll be going there to do,” said Kane.

“I have a great history at Brands having won there this year on the GP circuit and grabbing two second place podiums in 2008 on the Indy. We’ve proven the BMW can win here so we’ll just have to see what happens with the other teams and their turbos!” said Jackson.

The BMW-duo is going up against the turbo-charged Ford’s of Tom Onslow-Cole and Tom Chilton for the independents title.

“If Tom has a little bad luck and I get three good races the Independent title is well within my reach,” said Kane.

“We’ve had a solid season and a win or two and the Independent title would cap it off nicely,” said Jackson.

The team claimed one win, with Jackson, last time the championship visited Brands Hatch.

“We’ve proven the BMW can win here so we’ll just have to see what happens with the other teams and their turbos! I have no doubt the Focus and Chevys will be quick so we’ll have to make up the pace through the corners and by conserving our tyres, but I’ve done it before and I don’t see why I can’t do it again,” said Jackson.
