Record crowd expected for BTCC finale

Brands Hatch reports that advanced ticket sales indicates that a record breaking crowd will attend the British Touring Car Championship finale this weekend.
“We’re delighted with the advance sales for this weekend. Brands Hatch is the spiritual home of the BTCC season finale and the Indy circuit’s natural amphitheatre offers spectators superb views of the close and exciting racing that has become a hallmark of British Touring Cars,” said Jonathan Palmer, Chief Excecutive of MotorSport Vision to btcc.net.

Last year a massive 35.000 spectators visited the BTCC finale, a figure expected to be beaten this year.

The fact that four drivers are up for the title this year, Jason Plato, Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden and Tom Onslow-Cole, is no doubt helping the spectator rush for the race.

“We’re expecting a brilliant atmosphere at this year’s title-deciding final round,” said Palmer.
