Göransson awarded driver of the year in Sweden

Quadruple STCC champion Richard Göransson has been awarded driver of the year in Sweden by the magazine Bilsport.
“This is a fantastic end to a great year. My fourth STCC title made me historic and this is a good receipt on my success,” said Göransson.

BMW-man Göransson secured his fourth STCC title this year after a hard fight with Volvo-driver Robert Dahlgren.

“We had a fantastic team and partners this year, and without them it would not have been possible. So a big thanks to all of them,” said Göransson.

Göransson is up for another award this weekend as the yearly BMW Sports Trophy takes place in Munich, Germany, where the top BMW drivers around the world are honored.
