Göransson signs three year deal with WestCoast Racing

Quadruple STCC champion Richard Göransson has signed a new three year-deal with WestCoast Racing.
“It feels amazing to start a new, long term programme and broaden the whole team on the 20th anniversary for the team,” said Göransson.

WestCoast Racing celebrates 20 years today and team boss Dick Jönsson-Wigroth is pleased with their setup for the coming season.

“We have been a BMW-team for the last 17 years and we have exciting possibilities ahead of us. It is a great strength to have Göransson with us as an important part for the coming three years,” said Jönsson-Wigroth.

Göransson is going to get a team mate in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship this season in the form of Martin Öhlin and Göransson is confident in his goals for the season.

“My first goal is naturally to defend my title. There is a unique team spirit within WestCoast Racing, something I see as the great strength of the team,” said Göransson.
