James Nash is back with Triple Eight for 2011

James Nash is going to drive for Triple Eight in the British Touring Car Championship 2011.
“To have sorted the contract well before the start of the season is fabulous. I’m thrilled to be running again with Triple Eight,” said Nash.

The 25-year-old took part in all BTCC race weekends but one last year for Triple Eight, with one podium finish as best result.

“James is one of the best young drivers in the BTCC and I am delighted that he will be racing with us again. Last year we only saw glimpses of what he’s capable of and I’m sure that with the package we’ve got lined up this season we’ll see a lot more of him competing at the sharp end,” said team boss Ian Harrison.

Nash ended up in 12th position in the championship last year, a position he aims to improve considerably for 2011.

“My aim this season is to consistently be fighting for the podium positions and hopefully the top step too,” said Nash.

The team has not confirmed which car they are going to run for Nash in the BTCC 2011. Speculations have pointed both at the existing Vauxhall Vectra with the NGTC engine as well as the new Vauxhall Insignia in complete NGTC specification.
