Göransson finishes second in PWRC Sweden

Four time STCC champion Richard Göransson finished second in the Group N category of the World Rally Championship premiere in Sweden.
“This was far over our expectations. Second is really good, so we’ll have to aim for victory next time,” said Göransson.

Göransson, driving a Mitsubishi Lance Evo X, finished 17th overall and 3.5 minutes behind the winning Group N driver Martin Semerad.
“We have more or less been on pace all of the rally, but with some mistakes and spins. The final stage was all about getting the car to the finish, it was a bit nervous,” said Göransson.

The Swede, who usually takes part in the STCC for BMW-team WestCoast Racing, has driven a couple of rallies earlier this year and says he has got a taste for more.
“This has been so much fun. One of my best car experiences that I have ever had, it feels nice,” said Göransson.
