Jordan unluckiest man at Brands after great promise

Andrew Jordan came away from Brands Hatch with just a sixth place finish in race two as a result, after punctures in races one and three robbed him of strong finishes.

The 21-year-old was fastest throughout both practice sessions and proved his pace was no fluke, qualifying on the front row next to the Honda of Matt Neal.

Jordan, who had won last time out at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit in 2010, was caught out at the start of race one in the incident between Alex MacDowall and Matt Neal, and had slipped to fifth. Later in the race, Jordan lost a lap

“We ran over some debris and that punctured the tyre,” said Jordan.

“Once we got past Jordan and MacDowall, the car pace was really really good. It’s a frustrating start to the season but we’ll keep soldiering on.”

In race two, Jordan put on a resurgent drive from 16th to 6th, and started race three’s grid again from second after the top seven were reversed, but lost a lap with another puncture.
