Öhlin tops morning test at Knutstorp

Martin Öhlin topped the morning session of the first official Scandinavian Touring Car Championship test at Knutstorp. The BMW-driver lapped the wet circuit in 1:09.484, close to four tenths faster than his team mate and champion Richard Göransson.

Mattias Andersson was fastest of the front-wheel driven cars in third, six tenths from the fastest time.

Roger Eriksson claimed fourth ahead of top privateer driver Andreas Ebbesson. 2009 BTCC champion Colin Turkington rounded off top five.

The track was very wet after heavy rain fall during the night. No more rain is expected during the day and the track is slowly getting dryer.

The slippery conditions caught a couple of drivers, with both Turkington and Öhlin spinning off track. The test continues until 16.00 CET.
