Göransson: “The worst thing I have ever experienced”
Richard Göransson has left the hospital in Denmark and is on his way back home to Örebro in Sweden.
“This is the worst thing I have ever experienced and I cannot wait until I get home to my family,” said Göransson.
Göransson was immediately after the crash brought to the hospital in Århus where it was established that he had sustained spinal injuries and that he is going to be out from racing for at least three months.
“I am still very tired and in a lot of pain, but I am ready to be transported back home. I am going to keep resting for a while and I would like to thank everyone who has been in touch with me for the last couple of days,” said Göransson.
The cause of the accident is still not elucidated, the team is currently dismantling the car in the WestCoast Racing workshop in Halmstad, Sweden.
