Thomas Faraas joins DMS at Mantorp Park

Thomas Faraas is going to drive the second SEAT León for Danielsson Motorsport at Mantorp Park.
“It is a dream coming true. I have always wanted to race in STCC, a championship that I see as one of the toughest in the world,” said Faraas.

The 31 year-old Norwegian was without a drive last year but has raced in STCC support classes JTCC and Camaro Cup since 2006. The first outing for Faraas is going to be on thursday during the official STCC test at Mantorp Park.

“I want to get as much experience as possible from my first STCC race weekend, but I am going to push from the first lap. My goal is to work for a full season in 2012,” said Faraas.

Faraas is going to join regular Danielsson Motorsport driver and team owner Alx Danielsson.

“It is going to be really nice to work with Thomas and I think we can help each other,” said Faraas.
