2012 STCC finale to be held at Solvalla

The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship today announced that the final race of 2012 is going to be held at Solvalla, a trotting track located close to the center of the Swedish capital Stockholm.

The track is going to be constructed on the infield of the trotting track at a total length of 1400 meters.

“It is great to be able to offer all Stockholm inhabitants the excitement and drama that the STCC races offer,” said Bob Huzell, STCC MD.

The STCC organizers are planning to run two support classes alongside the event, most likely Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia or Camaro Cup and JTCC, a class rumored to be switched to Renault Clio Cup next year.

The race is scheduled to be held on 21-22 september 2012.
