Danielsson Motorsport confirms STCC for 2012

Privateer team Danielsson Motorsport has become the first team to confirm participation in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship 2012. The team is going to continue with their S2000 specification SEAT Leóns.
“The decision to continue with S2000 makes it possible for us to continue for two more seasons with two cars in STCC,” said team owner Alx Danielsson.

STCC announced two days ago that they are going to introduce NGTC gradually until 2014 and that they have stopped the negotiations with the Touring Car Team Association that is going to start their own series in 2012.

“STCC has made a wise decision that makes the choice simple for our part. This enables us to establish and build our team long term,” said Danielsson.

Danielsson Motorsport takes part in selected races of the STCC this year. One SEAT for Alx Danielsson, who currently is 18th in the championship, and a second SEAT that has been driven by a number of different drivers.
