Elgaard fuming after getting blocked in qualifying

Casper Elgaard qualified fourth for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship races at Jyllandsringen but said that a Swedish driver ruined his chances of claiming pole.
“I am convinced that if I had a clear lap, I would have taken pole position,” said Elgaard.

The Danish Honda driver was, just as eventual pole man Tommy Rustad and second placed Colin Turkington, consistently improving his laptimes in the closing minutes of Q2.

But on his final flying lap, a competitor, which Elgaard does not name, got in the way.
“There was a Swedish driver ahead of me on my final flying lap. He was going flat out down the main straight, but he let off the gas through the first two corners and just rolled around,” said Elgaard.
