Elgaard tops morning warm up at Jyllandsringen

Hartmann Racing driver Casper Elgaard once again topped the time sheets as the morning warm up session at Jyllandsringen was finished. The Honda driver lapped the track in 1:11.587, just over one tenth faster than Gabriele Tarquini.

Tarquini beat his team mate and pole sitter Tommy Rustad with just three thousands of a second.

Martin Öhlin was best BMW driver in fourth, right in front of team mate and reigning champion Richard Göransson.

Elgaard’s team mate Fabrizio Giovanardi was sixth fastest ahead of Mattias Andersson and Johan Stureson.

Rickard Rydell, who has got a tough job to try and beat championship rival Fredrik Ekblom from 12th on the grid, was ninth fastest ahead of Colin Turkington. Ekblom only managed 13th fastest time of the session, close to a second slower than Elgaard.

The first race of the day starts at 13.00 CET.
