Robert Dahlgren fastest in first Knutstorp test

Robert Dahlgren is no doubt back in the STCC, noting it by being fastest in the first test session at Knutstorp with 0.232 seconds. The Volvo driver headed another newcomer in the form of Michel Nykjær, both on new tyres compared to the rest of the field.

Mattias Andersson was fastest STCC regular in third, 0.271 seconds behind Dahlgren.

Rickard Rydell drew the first “victory” in the title fight by being fastest of the title contenders in fourth. But championship leader Fredrik Ekblom was not far behind in fifth, just 0.035 seconds adrift.

Richard Göransson was best BMW driver in sixth ahead of Viktor Hallrup and Flash Engineering duo Colin Turkington and Jan “Flash” Nilsson.

Tommy Rustad, who hunts the top duo in the championship fight, only managed tenth fastest time, 0.590 seconds behind. A total of 16 cars were covered within one second.
