BTCC announces provisional 2012 calendar

Championship organiser’s TOCA have released a provisional calendar for the 2012 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, starting in early April and concluding in late October next year.

The calendar will again be ten rounds as this season, with Donington Park as yet not with a date on the calendar, which held the second round of this year’s championship.

The order of the events is almost the same as this season, except the season finale will now be back at Brands Hatch, swapping back with Silverstone which will host the penultimate event.

The calendar also lists the circuit configurations which are intended to be used, which sees the Brands Hatch Indy circuit kick off the season on April 1st, and the Grand Prix circuit used for the finale on October 21st.

Oulton Park will again use the Island circuit whilst Snetterton is again provisionally set to use the 2.99 mile ‘300’ layout, whilst the configuration that Silverstone will use is not specified.
