Fredrik Ekblom confident for STCC finale

Volkswagen driver Fredrik Ekblom is backed by no less than three team mates in the title fight with Rickard Rydell at Mantorp Park this weekend.
“I’ve got a good feeling for the final. Mantorp Park suits our biogas powered Volkswagen Scirocco, we had a good test there last week and it is of course great that Team Biogas.se fields so many cars to help me to the title,” said Ekblom.

But despite the immense support from the extra team mates, Ekblom knows that there are a lot of different factors to deal with.
“I know from experience that it isn’t that easy to just get in and help someone in these conditions. At least not within the frame of the regulations,” said Ekblom, aiming at Chevrolet and Nykjær’s penalty for hindering Ekblom in start of the previous race.

Ekblom heads main rival Rickard Rydell with two points and the Volkswagen driver says that he is confident.
“I have great expectations on a successful end of the season and I am really looking forward to settle this now,” said Ekblom.

Team Biogas.se has got a total of four cars in the STCC final and team boss Tommy Kristoffersson shares Ekblom’s confidence.
“We are heading to Mantorp Park with focus on doing a good job and giving Fredrik the best possible conditions. We are going to defend the lead that we’ve got and we have got the capacity to win the championship,” said Kristoffersson.
