SEAT Sweden supports Danielsson Motorsport for 2012

SEAT Sweden is going to support Danielsson Motorsport in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship 2012.
“We are proud over the trust from SEAT Sweden and we are going to maintain it in the best possible way,” said Team Principal and driver Alx Danielsson.

The team is planning to run two S2000 specification SEAT Leóns with NGTC engine next season.
“The chassis is the race cars is great, the missing thing has been power in the engine. The new NGTC regulations removes that difference, so 2012 is optimal to go for SEAT,” said Danielsson.

SEAT Sweden was partner to Brovallen Design this year with drivers Roger Eriksson and Tobias Johansson. But as Brovallen Design has left STCC for the new TTA championship, SEAT switched to Danielsson Motorsport, a team that also ran SEATs in the STCC 2011.
“SEAT is a strong brand within touring car racing and we want to continue developing that together with Danielsson Motorsport and STCC as platform,” said Åke Lundberg, Brand Manager of SEAT Sweden.

Danielsson Motorsport took part in four races of the STCC this season with Alx Danielsson in one León and Jens Hellström, Robin Appelqvist and Thomas Faraas sharing the second León. The team’s best result came at Mantorp Park in May with eight position by Danielsson who finished 23rd overall.
