Rob Austin to race the team’s second Audi A4 at Brands

Rob Austin will again race the unlucky-for-some #13 Audi A4 at the first round of the 2012 British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch alongside new team-mate Mark Hazell.

Austin drove in all but the first round of the Championship last year, and was joined by Chris Swanwick in the final two rounds of the BTCC in the team’s second Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specification Audi A4.

This year Austin has signed BTCC newcomer Mark Hazell to drive the #31 Audi, with Austin now confirming to BTCC.net that he will drive the second car for the first meeting of the year, after both Austin and Swanwick tested the car last week at Silverstone.

Austin’s best result last year was second place overall in the third race at Rockingham, finishing behind eventual independents’ champion James Nash.
