Michel Nykjaer ahead of Tomas Engström at Sturup

Michel Nykjaer put Chevrolet on top in the first test session of the day at Sturup Raceway. The Dane lapped the track in 1:02.950, over four tenths faster than his closest rival in the form of Tomas Engström in the NGTC engined Honda Civic.

Rickard Rydell claimed third fastest time, just 0.005 seconds slower than Engström, with Patrik Olsson as best Volkswagen driver in fourth.

Olsson’s team mate Johan Stureson was fifth fastest ahead of championship leader Johan Kristoffersson who was over a second from the best time of the session.

Jordi Gené, Niclas Olsson, Tony Johansson and Santosh Berggren rounded off the top ten, with Beggren being close to three seconds from the fastest time of the session.
