Champions Ekblom and Kristoffersson happy over merge

TTA and STCC champions Fredrik Ekblom and Johan Kristoffersson are both happy after the announced merge of STCC and TTA for 2013.
“It was a nessecary decision. There are a lot of good things with STCC and a lot of good things with TTA. We a lot of strong things under one umbrella now,” said Ekblom to sr.se.

Ekblom secured the TTA title for Volvo and Kristoffersson the STCC title for Volkswagen.
“A good decision and an obvious decision for the racing of Sweden. It (TTA) is an interesting set of regulations, it is up to the drivers and teams to get the best out of the car. We had two average championships in 2012 and we are going to get one strong for 2013,” said Kristoffersson.

While the future is set for STCC and TTA, as well as for Ekblom who has got two years left on his contract with Volvo, Kristoffersson has not got his plans for 2013 set.
“I have nothing set for 2013 yet, I still have one race left in the Superstars this year. I am not sure if I am going to continue in Sweden next year, one option could be to go abroad. But one shouldn’t underestimate the level of racing in Sweden. It would be great to race against Ekblom, Göransson and the other elite drivers in Sweden,” said Kristoffersson.
